You should never skip the Bad Blood quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

There will be plenty oftough decisionsto make throughout yourKingdom Come: Deliverance 2playthrough, each with its own consequence, but skipping the Bad Blood quest is among the worst, and you’ll regret everything.

Early in the game, you’re rescued and nursed back to health by the herbwoman Bozhena. Her hut is your first real home base (and now has a fast-travel marker thanks toupdate 1.2), and it’s where you’ll start Bad Blood.

Knight using a sword

Bozhena’s daughter, Pavlena, has gone missing and she asks you to help find her. But there’s so much other adventure to be had, it can wait can’t it… can’t it? Well, not really.

If you’ve completely ignored the woman who saved your life and dismissed the big warning that advancing the story will lock you out of certain quests, there are disastrous consequences for Bozhena and Pavlena. Spoilers for this quest ahead.

Henry gritting his teeth

If you travel to Kuttenberg before wrapping up Bad Blood, there’s a grim scene waiting for you. Bozhena the herbwoman has committed suicide and can be found hanging from the rafters of her hut.

For Reddit user ‘Readheadedgamer,’ this was meant to be a nice visit to bookend the story. But, because they never rescued Pavlena, they were met with the sickening scene.

Pavlena is gone, presumably murdered by her captors, leading Bozhena to end her life. Or perhaps she was let go and failed in getting revenge − we might never know.

You can also trigger this dark ending by neither killing Jakesh nor reconciling him and Bozhena. He’s the source of all Bozhena and Pavlena’s troubles, even if he isn’t directly responsible for the kidnapping.

He holds a grudge after his wife and child died during childbirth while Bozhena was the midwife, and to end it once and for all, she asks you to kill him. If you outright refuse to help, Pavlena’s body can be found hanging from a tree outside Troskowitz and Bozhena meets the same fate.

you’re able to take Henry in almost any direction you like − he can side with the villagers and kill Bozhena and Pavlena himself, but if you want to play the game as anything other than a cold-hearted psychopath, don’t ignore the Bad Blood quest.
