Kaitlyn went on theAlmost Adultingpodcast recently, alongside Violet Benson, to talk about why things fell apart with Jason. After breaking off her engagement with Shawn, Kaitlyn was hoping to find a partner who wasn’t interested in being an influencer. When she met Jason on her podcast in 2018, he was established enough in his bank job that he didn’t have to rely on podcasting and influencing. However, Jason eventually lost his job after the two moved in together, which led to Jason’s career change - he began to focus on his podcast,Trading Secrets.
Kaitlyn continued to explain how Shawn’s podcast made her feel betrayed and resentful, claiming he did it behind her back. He didn’t avoid that line of work as she’d requested. Kaitlyn told Violet that she was an Enneagram Type 4, known as The Individualist. This is a personality known to take pride in individuality and uniqueness.
