When I first heard about the musical episode, it started off as a joke. I thought it would be cool in theory – we have a lot of musical people, myself and Chrissy (Christina Chong) who plays La’an… Then, when I found out it was going to be an actual thing, it wasn’t just a joke anymore, I got really nervous.

I feel like there’s something intimate and special about singing in harmony with someone else. It just creates a bond that is pretty unbreakable. So the fact we got this moment together as a cast/family, we’re bonded in a way that I don’t know if many other Trek families are, truthfully.
