Pokemon Scarlet & Violet hide & seek game redeems Synchro feature in DLC

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players are showing off an amazing fan-made multiplayer game, where hide & seek is played with one person masquerading as a wild Pokemon.

The Indigo Disk DLC forPokemon Scarlet & Violetintroduced theSynchro Machine feature, which allowed the player to transform into one of the Pokemon in their team. They can then run around as one of their Pokemon or fly or swim if they have that ability.

The Synchro Machine has limitations, however. It only works in the Terarium in The Blueberry Academy, so you can’t explore all of the Gen 9 regions. The activities you can perform while transformed into a Pokemon are restricted to running around and beating up wild Pokemon.

While many fans have called theSynchro Machine forgettable, some have been using it to full effect in multiplayer games via Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s Union Circle feature, allowing people to explore Paldea together.

Synchro Hide & Seek is an amazing Pokemon multiplayer game

A new video on theShiny CatherineYouTube Channel demonstrates a type of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet multiplayer called Pokemon Synchro Hide & Seek, which makes full use of the Synchro Machine feature to hide from other players.

In this mode, players use theSynchro Machine to transform into a Pokemonand then hide in the overworld, only letting the seeker know which Biome they’re in. It’s up to the seeker to find them amongst the Wild Pokemon.

“My friends and I do this too! We have a points system based on how large/rare/obvious the Pokémon is. My favorite Pokémon to hide as is Roaming Gimmighoul because it’s so tiny,” one user commented, while another said, “When this DLC dropped, me and my friends did this and it’s so much fun.”

Surprisingly, this is reminiscent of the old Assassin’s Creed multiplayer modes, where players had to blend in with the crowd and not look suspicious. It’s up to the hider to present themselves as a mindless NPC wild Pokemon to avoid suspicion, just in case they get spotted.
