It finally happened. TheNintendo Direct on April 2gave Hollow Knight: Silksong fans a release window. No, you’re not dreaming. The long-awaited sequel is actually coming and soon.
Silksong fans have suffered. Announced in 2019, the game has been delayed so much it became a running joke. Microsoft once teased a release within 12 months, then silence.Team Cherrysaid it “gotten quite big.” No kidding. The wait became a meme, flooding gaming chats with cries of “SKONG.”
Even during the Nintendo Direct, the Dexerto newsroom joked about a Silksong release date announcement as the screen froze on Survival Kids, a 3D cozy game, for about 5 minutes.
Cyberpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy VII Remake got full reveals while we watched 3D avatars fishing. We dared to dream, “What if they announce Silksong like this?” And dare I say – we manifested it.
