Chief among them is for its virality. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the infamous Chicken Jockey moment has causedall sorts of chaos, even seeing alive chicken brought into one cinema. Jack Black was brought out at one stage to trycalm fans downas outbursts were getting a little too out of hand for some cinemas.

Now, there’s a new version hitting the big screen, and no, it’s not thatunfinished versionthat spilled out online weeks prior. Instead, it’s a ‘party’ version that encourages fans to get as crazy as they like.

The Chicken Jockey in A Minecraft Movie

This follows in the footsteps ofWicked’s ‘sing-along’ screeningsfrom the tail end of 2024 that divided the audience and drew plenty of criticism at that time. Given the Minecraft audience is a much younger demographic, however, the reception could be much more positive this go around.

The popular movie still has a few weeks to go in cinemas but already it’s proven such a hit that a sequel has been greenlit. In fact, we know it’llinvolve a new character in a leading role.
