Summary
My Hero Academiais drawing to a close, but it’s not quite over yet.Chapter 424 began an epilogue, something that not every shonen series is lucky enough to get. This kind of denouement can be very important for telling a story, offering a chance to show what the heroes have worked so very hard for.
Chapter 424 revealed the extent of Bakugo’s injuries, which, even with Edgeshot’s help, were quite severe, putting his future as a hero at risk. Midoriya and All Might were also shown to be recovering, both completely covered in bandages as they laid in their hospital beds. The chapter put the rivalry between the two boys front and center, showing how much it actually meant to Bakugo to have someone to compete against and keep up with. Here’s how to catch chapter 425 ofMy Hero Academiaright as it releases so you can read the official translation as early as possible.

What Was My Hero Academia Chapter #424 About?
Chapter 424 Marks the Beginning of the End
My Hero Academiachapter 424 opened with clean-up efforts underway, thanks to international heroes now pouring in to help since All for One’s defeat. Notable among the international heroes isSkycrawler, the former protagonist ofMy Hero Academia Vigilantes. However, the chapter made it clear that not everything will be going back to normal, showing how badly Bakugo had injured himself during the final battle. Deku, of course, is Quirkless once again, although he notes that he still has the “embers” of One for All, just like All Might did.
Who knows how long those embers will last; All Might certainly managed to hold onto them for a while, but even then it was only about a year. Perhaps using them all up against All for One rushed the process for All Might, and he might have been able to hold on to those embers for much longer had it not been for such a major battle. The chapter ends with a patched up Midoriya on his way back to UA, so he’s not out of the running to be a hero quite yet. It also ends with a somber acknowledgment that just because the final battle is over, that doesn’t mean everything’s been wrapped up nicely; there’s still a lot of work to do before they can live happily ever after.

My Hero Academia Chapter #425 Returns to UA
Class 1-A Heads Home to UA
While it’s impossible to say exactly what will take place in chapter 425 at this time, the final panels of 424 show Deku and his classmates on their way back to UA, which has sustained some pretty major damage itself. With the final conflict now over, Class 1-A may be ready to move up to the next grade and become class 2-A, kicking off their second year, which would’ve already begun were it not for the war. It will have to be decided what will happen to Deku now that he’s Quirkless, as well. Will UA allow a Quirkless student to stay in the hero course?
There are many other characters who the story needs to check back in on before the end as well, with Shoto and the Todoroki family prominent among them. Dabi has presumably died from overusing his Quirk, but the rest of the family still suffered some pretty severe burns themselves. The fate of some villains was left ambiguous as well;is Spinner still alive, as the panel of his scales in 424 seems to imply? And what about Kurogiri–has he regained more of his original personality as Oboro Shirakumo? While not all of these concerns are likely to be addressed in 425, they need to be a part of this epilogue.

The only way to find out is to readMy Hero Academiachapter 425 when it’s released.
