Chapter #10 of the series is, so far, one of the most if not the most explosive ones yet. There was ashort confrontation between Sarada and Hidari, a devastating and unexpected death, and Boruto’s struggle with his Karma.
However, the biggest revelation is that Kurama admitsHimawari has a higher affinity with the Nine-Tails chakra than even Naruto, making her the best Jinchuriki so far. This is a huge advantage that Himawari has, as she can take full advantage of Kurama’s chakra, and use it to its full extent.It is important to note that Himawari is not stronger than Naruto yet; it has only been confirmed that she’s more compatible with Kurama.

The chapter starts with multiple people rushing to Jura and Hidari’s location, such as Konohamaru, Kawaki, and Sarada. Jura and Hidari split up, with the former chasing afterIno-Shika-Cho who were rescuing Himawari. Despite their brilliant teamwork, they couldn’t shake off the impending foe. Meanwhile,Himawari’s conversation with Kurama continued, and the two got acquainted with each other.
Similarly to how Naruto facing tragedy triggered the outburst of Kurama’s chakra, Himawari witnessing Inojin being killed in front of her led her to use Kurama’s chakra. The only difference this time is that Kurama isn’t looking to take over her body. Quite the opposite actually, as the two are working together against the enemy. The next chapter will see the new and powerful Himawari take on Jura, and the potential combo of Kurama’s chakra and the Byakugan will surely be lethal.
It’s not just Naruto that she surpasses in this aspect, butall the hosts of the Nine-Tails, including Kushina, Minato, and Mito. Her exceptional affinity with the Nine-Tails is likely due to her lineage, as she is related to four of the previous Jinchuriki of the Kyubi.
Himawari Could Have Been Born With Kurama’s Chakra
Which Would Make Kurama’s Chakra Hers As Well
Most Jinchuriki have their Tailed Beasts sealed within them, resulting in their chakra and the Beasts being separate entities. However, in the case of Himawari, Kurama suggests that she may have been born with some of his chakra due to her father being his host. This theory provides a compelling and logical explanation for why Himawari’s chakra affinity is higher than usual.
Himawari can heal herself using Kurama’s chakra, as demonstrated when Jura broke her leg and she got back up.
Kurama presents another explanation as to how Himawari might have some of his chakra, which involves her heritage. The concept of destiny is very present in theNarutofranchise, such as the Child of Prophecy, Ashura and Indra’s Incarnations, andBoruto’s Jougan being a beacon of hope for the world. With Himawari being a mix of the Uzumaki and Hyuga Clans, two of the most powerful clans in Konoha, it might have been her destiny to inherit Kurama’s chakra.
Another possibility that Kurama did not mention is the fact that Himawari received the Nine-Tails' chakra and has a high affinity with it becauseshe descended from both Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki, particularly Hagoromo, who was the Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails, a combination of all the Tailed Beasts including Kurama. Just like Boruto received the Jougan because of his heritage, it would also make sense that she follows suit, especially given how it was always hinted that Himawari was special.
It is interesting to note that the massive reduction of Kurama’s chakra was made up for by Himawari’s high compatibility with him. This might mean that unlocking transformations such as Kurama Chakra Mode is out of the question. However, all hope isn’t lost as the Kurama inside Himawari could increase in size in the future, just like he once did when the Ten-Tails were split up into nine.

The chapter ends with Himawari awakening a new form that looks very similar to Kushina when she loses control. It has been shown just how much of a powerup one receives when one utilizes Kurama’s chakra, so fans can expect Himawari to become even stronger. However, whether it’s enough to defeat or at least make Jura retreat is another matter, asBoruto: Two Blue Vortex’s new villains are the strongest so far. Luckily, Boruto and Kawaki are on their way, so the sweetheart of the series won’t have to face off against Jura by herself.
