Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver#4 – written by Steve Orlando, with art by Lorenzo Tammetta – reunited the recently returned Magneto withwith his children Wanda and Pietro. Even in death, a letter from Max caused a rift between the two siblings, with Scarlet Witch burning it before her twin brother had a chance to read the hurtful contents.

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have been inseparable since birth, and part of them is always tied together, even when they’re on different teams, living their own lives.
Max’s words are harsh, butthe Master of Magnetismand Quicksilver have always found each other to be particularly frustrating, despite Pietro’s insistence that his opinion doesn’t matter. Magneto hasa different bond with Wanda, and he has seen the lengths she’s willing to go to undo mistakes she has made. On M-Day, she used her magic to decimate the mutant population and caused mass devastation. It was done at Pietro’s misguided urging, giving their father a front-row seat to just how dangerous their co-dependence can be. It’s little wonder he’d believe she was better off without it.

As Wanda tells Max,they do “the impossible” together, good or bad.

The oldest and best-known adversary of the X-Men, Magneto has been a part of Marvel Comics since the mutant team was introduced. Bearing powers over magnetic fields, he views mutants as superior to normal humans, and aims to build a world where humans are dominant. The only thing stopping him is Professor X and his team of heroes.
