How to unlock Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Until now, Disney Dreamlight Valley’s princess cast was missing the star from The Princess and the Frog. But with the new Dapper Delights update, Gameloft is adding Tiana to the game’s lineup of princesses.
Tiana’s arrival inDisney Dreamlight Valleyis filled with exciting additions, including her new Meal Stall and a brand-new Restaurant. As revealed throughGameloft’s Developer Update, few characters have brought as much to the game as she has.
Every character has a unique way of making their entrance in each update, and Tiana is no exception. She won’t join the game as soon as you find her – you’ll need to do some convincing first.
How to unlock Tiana
To get Tiana in Disney Dreamlight Valley, complete Remy’sA Taste for Literature quest. As soon as you open the game after the update, you get a letter in your mailbox under the name “A culinary development.” Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how to finish the quest.
Find Remy’s Book
In this letter, Remy details how he found a mysterious book in theGlade of Trust, but can’t pick it up himself.
Head to the Glade of Trust in the southwest corner of the Valley and look for an open blue book. For me, it was near a pond, but it might be different for all players.
Meet Remy and return the book
Meet Remyin his restaurantand hand him the book. This prompts a memory to appear on the ground. Inspect it to get a photo of Merlin, Mickey, and Moanahaving a picnic together.

Talk to the villagers from the memory
Look forMoana, Mickey, and Merlinso that you can talk to them and get the next piece of the quest. While these three move around the world and aren’t generally found in one particular area, you can track them using the map and teleporting to a nearby Well.
They each tell you one ingredient they remember from the picnic, and Merlin even hands you the ingredient himself.
Make Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée
Now it’s time to gather the ingredients for the Cajun recipe:Shrimp, Onion, Rice, and Milk. Here’s how you can get each:
Bring all the ingredients back to the nearest cooking station and place them in the ingredient slots to make an Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée. Don’t forget theDreamlight PeppersMerlin gave you.
Share the Enchanted Shrimp Étouffée
Then, share theEnchanted Shrimp Étoufféewith the villagers from the memory: Moana, Mickey, and Merlin. Give Remy a taste too. After you’re done, you can welcome Tiana into Disney Dreamlight Valley. All that’s left is to complete her Friendship Quests.
Tiana’s Level 2 Friendship Quest: Back From the Bayou
During Tiana’s first Friendship Quest, you unlock her restaurant and stall. Follow these steps to complete Back from the Bayou in DDV.
Place Tiana’s Palace restaurant
After talking to Tiana and offering to help set up her restaurant, open the Build menu, and place Tiana’s Palace somewhere in the Valley – no payment needed.
Once done, go inside and speak with Tiana. She’ll mention needing a Meal Stall to test her ideas, and this is where you come in.
Gather the ingredients and craft Tiana’s Meal Stall
To craft Tiana’s Meal Stall in Disney Dreamlight Valley, gather the following ingredients:
Place Tiana’s Meal Stall near the restaurant and buy a meal
Once you have the required ingredients, look for Tiana’s Meal Stall recipe under the Functional Items section of the crafting station. Then, place it near Tiana’s Stall, purchase a meal, and check in with Tiana.
Prepare for Tiana’s Meal Stall Opening
The next step is to invite Mother Gothel and Moana to the grand opening. An optional quest objective asks you to listen to Remy and Tiana’s conversation about their menus.
After they agree to attend this event, it’s time to help Tiana prepare everything. Gather the following ingredients:
Once you’ve gathered all the required ingredients, craft a Bistro Table and a Bistro Chair at a crafting station. These items are listed under Furniture and have Tiana’s icon on the upper right.
Decorate the area outsideTiana’s Meal Stallwith these items, as well as some Elegant Decoration from the Furniture menu.
Celebrate the opening of Tiana’s Meal Stall
Check back with Tiana insideTiana’s Palace restaurantand grab the Inauguration Ribbon from her. Place it right in front of Tiana’s Meal Stall to kick off the opening night.
After taking a cute selfie with everyone, speak with the guests – Mother Gothel, Moana, and Remy. When all is said and done, report back to Tiana to complete Back from the Bayou.
Tiana’s Friendship Level 4 Quest: Little Louis’s Big Break
This quest is all about getting Tiana her own special companion, Little Louis. Follow these steps to complete Little Louis’s Big Break in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Speak with Mother Gothel to free Louis
Have a word withMother Gothelinside herWillow Treein the Glade of Trust. It’s the huge treehouse by the lake; you can’t miss it.
You’ll find out Louis has wrecked her garden, which left her with no other choice but to lock the little creature. If we want Louis free – which, we do, if only for Tiana – we must restore her garden for her.
Restore Mother Gothel’s garden
To restore Mother Gothel’s garden, get10 Spinach Seeds, 10 Okra Seeds, and 10 Rice SeedsfromGoofy’s Stall in the Glade of Trust.
You’ll also need48 White Picket Fences.You can craft three at a time with fiveSoftwoodat any crafting station, which means you’ll need80 Softwood total.
If you need some extra Softwood, look in the Plaza, Peaceful Meadow, the Glade of Trust, and the Forest of Valor. If you own A Rift in Time, any biome in Ancient’s Landing and most biomes in The Wild Tangle have a bit of Softwood.
Next,dig 30 holes in the Glade of Trust and plant the required seeds. Then, protect the garden with theWhite Picket Fencesyou crafted.
Mother Gothel is pleased with her new garden and gives you the key to free Louis. Unfortunately, as soon as he’s free, he runs away.
Build Little Louis’s house: The Bayou Companion Home
Tiana decides Louis is no regular croc and needs a home of his own. To build Little Louis’s house, get the following materials:
Head to a crafting station and look for the Bayou Companion Home recipe under Functional Items. When you’re done crafting, place Little Louis home in the Glade of Trust.
Tiana’s Level 7 Friendship Quest: Dreamlight Gastronomy
To complete Dreamlight Gastronomy in Disney Dreamlight Valley, follow these steps.
Recruit Villagers to participate in Tiana’s culinary contest
Speak with Woody, Anna, Kristoff, Mike, and Mulan to see if they’re willing to participate in Tiana’s culinary contest.
After speaking to all of them, head inside Remy’s house and talk to Tiana to let her know you’re ready.
Prepare the ingredients
The next step is to prepare the potatoes, the corn, the herbs, and the seafood with your royal tools. Here’s everything you need to do:
Once you’ve completed all the tasks and acquired all the ingredients, bring them back to Tiana and consume the Seafood Boil from your inventory.
Craft a Sandwich Board
Gather the following materials to craft a Sandwich Board:
Once you have all the required ingredients, head to a crafting station and look for the Sandwich Board recipe under Functional Items. Then, bring this item to Tiana.
Try everyone’s meal and pick a winner
Take a selfie with the contestants and try out everyone’s meal. Then, listen to Remy and Tiana react to the contestant’s meals.
When you’re ready, choose the winner and let them know the prize is theirs. Back at Tiana’s Palace restaurant, place the board with the new dish and listen to a conversation between Tiana and the winner.
Tiana’s Level 10 Friendship Quest: Dreamlight Gastronomy
To complete Villagers on Parade in Disney Dreamlight Valley, follow these steps.
Get the Parade Float Mask and Parade Festival Arch
Speak with Daisy to find out more about the Parade Float Mask. While she works on it, craft a Parade Festival Arch with the following ingredients:
Once you’ve crafted the Parade Festival Arch, bring it back to Tiana and follow her to the Parade starting location.
Get ready for the New Orleans Parade
Put on threeQuirky or Bold clothesand theParade Festival Mask. Then, place the New Orleans Parade Arch near Skull Rock.
When you’re ready, follow Tiana around while she leads the Parade. When she throws the Parade Throws, pick them up before going back to follow her. After a cute festival selfie, you become best friends with Tiana.
