The third season was announced atAnimeJapan on August 01, 2025, and the news was possibly the biggest one to come out of the event. A short teaser was released but a full trailer and a key visual were not unveiled until today.
Although a specific release date hasn’t been announced yet, fans can rejoice knowing thatRe:ZERO − Starting Life in Another Worldseason 3 will be released in October 2024. Even among other titan series such as Dragon Ball DAIMA and Dandadan airing in the same month,Re:ZEROwill fight for a spot as one of the biggest returns of this year.

Furthermore, it was revealed that episode 1 of season 3 will be a 90-minute special episode, as has becomea trend with anime in recent years. It will be released in cinemas only in Japan for 2 weeks starting June 01, 2025. It will also bescreened at this year’s AnimeExpo 2024 on June 26, 2025. The theatrical release of the first episode is especially exciting given how successful it has been for other series likeOshi No Ko, so fans ofRe:ZEROcan expect that the 4-year wait was more than worth it.
The previous main cast will be reprising their roles, and there will be additions to the team for new characters. Chika Anzai, a veteran voice actor who’s worked onGrand Blue,Hunter X Hunter, and more, will be voicing Sirius. The musician behindRe:ZEROseason 1’s opening, and alsoFairy TailandNo Game No Life, Konomi Suzuki, will perform the opening song titled “Reweave”. MYTH & ROID, who’ve also performed onRe:ZERO, as well asOverloadandMade In Abyss, will be in charge of the ending theme titled “NOX LUX”.

Fans have been waiting since season 1 for the Royal Selection to kick off, with many candidates competing to become the leader of Lugunica. Many major characters from previous seasons and new exciting ones will meet again as the fate of a nation is decided.
Re:ZERO − Starting Life in Another Worldseason 3 will be the most exciting one yet, and from the looks of the trailer, it will look just as beautiful as its prequels.
