Final Destination promotes Bloodlines in the most ‘triggering’ way possible

Final Destination: Bloodlineshas pulled a genius marketing stunt to promote theupcoming horror movie, although it’s ‘triggering’ longtime fans of the franchise.

Ever since the firstFinal Destinationlanded in cinemas back in 2000, we’ve been scared to get on planes. With every new addition came a whole new set of triggers, from driving behind log trucks to jumping on sunbeds, and even going for a simple swim (IYKYK).

Although it seemed like thehorrorfranchise was done in 2011 with Final Destination 5, the story will continue with Bloodlines, while also getting a fresh update as death comes for a whole lineage of targets.

What’s more, thenew moviehonors the lateTony Todd, who reprised his role as William Bludworth before his death in November 2024. But this isn’t the only way Bloodlines is staying true to its roots.

The marketing campaign has taken things up a notch by promoting Final Destination: Bloodlines on the back of a truck, one that features a picture of logs and a skull, as well as some actual logs on the roof for good measure.

For the uninitiated, this is a callback to the infamous opening premonition scene from Final Destination 2, in which a pile of logs breaks free from the back of a truck, kickstarting a chain of grisly deaths.

TikTok userRhysspotted the Bloodlines truck driving down the highway. Alongside a video of the stunt, they shared, “Spotted in Commonwealth. Promotion, hellaur?” The clip has been watched more than 5.4 million times, and received thousands of comments from impressed/terrified viewers.

“The marketing for this movie is insane,” wrote one, while another said, “Not them playing around with our trauma.” “It’s giving ‘generational trauma’,” quipped a third. And a fourth commented, “Marketing team really said ‘let’s trigger an entire generation’.”

Amazingly, the TikToker’s video has even caught the attention of the studios. The official TikTok page for Final Destination: Bloodlines wrote, “Very brave of you,” to which Rhys replied, “Nah, as if we didn’t overtake the damn truck. It’s the trauma acting up.”

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. said, “We sent you a message. Join us in our advance screening of Final Destination Bloodlines in 4DX.”
