Everything we know about Rematch
Rematch is a fast-paced 5v5 soccer game from indie studio Sloclap, the same developer behind 2022 beat ’em up, Sifu.
Likened to Rocket League for soccer fans, players take control of a single kicker on the pitch from a third-person perspective rather than an entire team like in traditional sports games like EA Sports FC.
Throughout 2025, Sloclap has held betas for the arcade title, the most recent taking place between May 28 and May 31. PerSteamDB, player counts for the beta test peaked at 159,865 players during the 72 hours, indicating substantial interest.

Rematch release date
Rematch releases officially on June 19. It’s had a number of beta phases that have allowed players to try it early, which is where you may have seen early gameplay. However, the full version of the game won’t be out and playable until that June 19 date. At least you won’t have to wait long.
Rematch will be available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. On Steam, Rematch is available to pre-purchase for £20.99 (appox. $30). It’s not known if console versions of Rematch will cost the same as on PC, but you can likely expect a similar, if not identical price tag.

Is Rematch cross-platform?
On February 19, Sloclap stated via the official Rematch X/Twitter page that it had plans to support cross-play for Rematch. This is no guarantee that it will, however.
