Everything we know about Pokemon Champions: Gameplay, platforms & details
Pokemon Presents 2025has treated fans to an array of announcements including Pokemon Champions. A new title focused on core-stylePokemonbattles that will let players test their skills against others all around the world.
While details are scarce right now, here’s everything we know about the upcoming game so far, including platforms, and its connectivity with other entries in the franchise.

Does Pokemon Champions have a release date?
Pokemon Champions will come outsometime in 2026.

Champions will be coming toNintendo Switch and mobile devices.

According to the Pokemon Day presentation, fans will be able to choose how they want to play based on where they are.

The first trailer for Champions was shared during the Pokemon Presentslivestreamon June 21, 2025.
It showcased live-action footage of players on different generations of previous Pokemon titles including the GameCube, GBA, and Nintendo DS installments. Finally, we got brief glimpses of big stadium battles.

The Pokemon Champions trailer gives us a solid look at what this new battle-focused game is all about.

You’ll be able to play on Switch or mobile, using either your old favorites from Pokémon Home or brand-new recruits found in-game. It’s all about building your ideal team and jumping into single or double battles.

The trailer also shows a new way to train Pokémon that puts you in full control. you may pick the moves you like and raise your team the way you want.
Gameplay details
Pokemon Champions is abattle-focused gamewhere you fight other players in ranked or private matches. You can play solo or in doubles, with big arena-style battles that look fast-paced and intense.
Build your team bylinking Pokemon Hometo bring in old favorites or by recruiting new ones directly in-game. You choose which Pokemon to train and what moves they learn, giving you full control over your strategy.
The game also introduces a newtrainingsystem that makes raising Pokemon quicker and more flexible.
