Chapter #11-15, Episode #141-151

Boruto’s teammates took on a notorious group of thieves in the series' second arc, andit was a change of pacefrom the supernatural, world-ending enemies in the series. This arc was more grounded but was still as exciting as the high-stakes ones. It shined light on the world that was still plagued with corruption and crime despite Naruto ending all wars, and this realistic depiction of the world served to heighten the seriousness of the manga.

The character development was also amazing, as Boruto found a mirror in the young and spoiled Tento Madoka. Boruto not only learned what it truly meant to be a shinobi but also helped guide someone in the same situation as him, offering an intriguing parallel.Team 7’s teamwork and chemistrywere also a focal point. 5The Ao Arc Is an Underrated Gem

Chapter #16-23, Episode #178-187

The Ao Arc revisited aNaruto Shippudencharacter and made him one of the series' best villains.Ao was a hero in the great war who betrayed his villageand was now part of the heinous Kara as a cyborg, highlighting the devastating effects that war leaves on a person. It was also a continuation of the ninja tools storyline the series touched up on, but this time, Boruto used it to enhance his traditional shinobi fighting style instead of relying on it, demonstrating how much he had grown.

The Ao Arc is a captivating exploration of the themes of loyalty and betrayal, as well as a deep dive into the shinobi way. The arc is packed with incredible fighting and action sequences, and it introduces the enigmatic group, Kara, adding depth to the story. Although it may not receive as much appreciation,it’s an integral and impressive part of the narrative, with its impact stretching from beginning to end.

3Versus Momoshiki Arc Was an Epic Start to the Series

Chapter #1-10, Episodes #51-66

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' first arc started the series strong, and itstill has some of the best fights in the franchise.Naruto Shippudenlightly touched up on the Otsutsuki lore using Kaguya, and Boruto introduced its first antagonist, Momoshiki, who descended on Earth many years after the war. This was when the Chunin exams were going on, and although it was entertaining, the real action began when the exams were interrupted and Momoshiki and Kinshiki kidnapped Naruto.

Sasuke, Boruto and the Five Kage launch an epic mission to retrieve Naruto, and although Momoshiki’s transformation made him nearly invincible, the Hokage and the shadow Hokage demonstrated why they are the strongest, and with the help of Boruto, they defeated him. What makes this arc really incredible is how relevant it is now, as it was the introduction of Karma and the first mention of Boruto’s life being turned upside down. Momoshiki is still an important antagonist, constantly threatening to take over Boruto if he lets his guard down.

Chapter #24-55, Episode #188-205

The Kawaki Arc is the series' longest arc, and was the introduction of the mysterious villain that Boruto was facing at the beginning of the series. It also debuted the Kara group, and characters such as Amado, Delta, Kashin Koji and Code are still integral to the plot. Although the arc was a bit slow in the beginning, the setup paid off once Jigen decided to attack Konoha, and it only went up from there.

From the iconic Baryon Mode, Momoshiki taking over, Sarada’s Chidori, Kawaki’s depressing backstory, and many amazing moments, the Kawaki Arc was possibly the most monumental arc so far. It also showed just how far Naruto had some as a father by adopting Kawaki, and how Boruto heroically dealt with the monster lurking inside him. Overall, the Kawaki Arc definitely had its issues but it also had everything fans love about theBorutoseries.

Amado, the creator of the two, finally discloses the truth about the Otsutsuki, his desperate attempts to bring back his daughter, and the true power of the Shinjutsu. This was a much-needed reveal of the mysteries surrounding the series, and perfectly set up the next phase of the arc.

And then,Kawaki finally solidified himself as the main antagonistand went after Boruto’s life to stop the world from potentially being destroyed and Naruto dying. Although he was unsuccessful, Eida’s strong emotions in helping Kawaki manifested using Omnipotence, an incredible power that flipped the lives of Boruto and Kawaki. This led to Boruto being branded as Naruto and Hinata’s killer, leading to the world turning against him.
