Duolingo Owl becomes Resident Evil’s weapon

The original post included a modded Duolingo owl with a muscular body replacing the T-002 Tyrant, also known as Mr. X, in Resident Evil Remake.

As first spotted byAutomaton, the translation of the post reads: “Our new biological weapon. Go. Spread language learning to the world.”

This is no doubt a hilarious nod to the popular memes regarding the Duolingo Owl. Despite looking adorable at first glance, the little critter has managed to be seen as threatening due to how it would constantly remind users to learn a new language on the app.

Because of this, there have also been plenty of evil Duolingo Owl memes all over the internet, usually involving the bird holding a Glock while it gives you a gentle reminder.

So, it’s pretty fitting to have the Owl replacing the T-002 Tyrant, especially since the latter is known to chase the player in the Raccoon City Police Department.
