A Quiet Place 3 finally gets promising update after major delay
It’s been four years since the silent monster trilogy was last on screens, and thankfully, there’s now an update on the long-awaitedA Quiet Place 3.
The originalhorror movieproved to be an unprecedented hit when it arrived in 2018. Making $340 million against a $17 million budget, it quickly got the greenlight for further movies, and in 2021,A Quiet PlacePart II followed with equal success.
Thanks to the creative minds of director John Krasinski and writers Bryan Woods and Scott Peck, the franchise quickly gained a loyal following. In the years since, an independent prequel movie was released in 2023 –A Quiet Place: Day One.
However, A Quiet Place is an intended trilogy, with no third movie to be found. But that may be about to change, with a promising update from producer Brad Fuller.
A Quiet Place 3 is currently being “put together”
At SXSW, Fuller discussed progress on the upcoming horror-sci-fi sequel, and explained that the reason behind the delay so far has been the busy schedule of director Krasinski.
He also clarified that a third movie is still definitely on the cards, saying [via Collider], “So, Day One is not A Quiet Place 3, just to be clear.
“A Quiet Place 3, we’re starting to put it together right now. You know, when we made the first one, John [Krasinski] didn’t have a lot on his plate. He had just come off The Office, and he wanted to be a director.
“Now, he’s so in demand, and it’s hard to get him… He’s making a movie now, so as soon as he finishes that, hopefully, he will turn his attention to [A Quiet Place 3]. We all want to finish that trilogy, and I’m hopeful there’s even more Quiet Place movies beyond that.”

The Quiet Place franchise has been a profitable one for Paramount. So far, all three movies have made over $900 million at the box office, with another installment very likely to push it into $1 billion territory.
